Hyderabad, May 19 (INN): Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal on Saturday said that the government would establish Designated Photography Location (DPL) centres in all election-bound districts for issuing identity cards for those who have no Electoral Photo Identity Cards.
Talking to media persons, Bhanwarlal said that the DPL centres would come up for every five villages in all the election-bound districts. He said that steps were being to ensure that all proposed DPL centres start functioning from May 21 (Monday). He appealed to the electorate to use the services of DPL centres and get their identity cards and exercise their franchise judiciously in the by-elections.
Stating that the DPL centres would commence their operations full scale from Monday, he asked the voters to get the identity cards free of cost. (INN)
