New Delhi, May 23 - The power demand in east and central Delhi Wedneday reached an all-time high of 1,243 mega watt (MW), surpassing the previous record of 1,237 MW in May.
An official of BYPl, the power supplier in the two parts of Delhi, said the power demand in this season was expected to rise up to 1,350 MW.
"This is the second time in 10 days that the power demand has surpassed all previous records," said the official.
This incessant growth in power demand is a bit unusual. Traditionally, the power demand peaks during July and August.
