Director Madan comes up with a new film after Pellaina Kothalo. He repeats the hit pair of Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani in Pravarakhyudu. The film deals with issues like love and commitment.

Story:

Sailaja (Priyamani) is a college student. She is beautiful and intelligent and naturally all the boys are after her. She rejects the proposals of all the boys. Sailaja and Sasi Kumar (Jagapathi Babu) are friends. While Priyamani is a bit emotional Jagapathi Babu is a practical man. He does not believe in love and says that it is only physical attraction.

When Priyamani reveals her love to Jagapathi Babu he simply laughs it off. He says that he is not in love with her and that he would still like to marry her if she is ready. An angry Sailaja wants to quit college and go away. Jagapathi Babu tries to reason with her but when she does not listen, he goes away instead.

Ten years will be passed. Sasi Kumar is a professor in Harvard while Sailaja is a principal of a women’s college. Sasi wants to marry and settle down. He sees many girls but does not like any of them. Sasi then realizes that he still loves Sailaja and starts looking for her.

He traces her to the college and joins the same college as a lecturer. The film picks up pace at this point as Sasi now starts wooing Sailaja in right earnest. How Sasi manages to woo Sailaja and make her accept him is the story.

Performance:

Jagapathi Babu plays a young college student as well as a mature lecturer with ease. He however is much more convincing as a lecturer. He carries his role with the right intensity and dignity.

Priyamani looks hot and sexy. She does a good job as the strict college principal. Priyamani wears some trendy costumes and makes a good pair with Jagapathi Babu.

Brahmanandam manages to spill some laughs with his routine stuff. Ali does a neat job in a brief role as a African. Sunil, Rajyalakshmi, Chalapathi Rao and others are okay.

Pravarakhyudu is a story of two adults and the director amanges to build up the right tempo and sustaind your interst right till the end. The chemistry between Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani is good and this shows up on the screen quite clearly.

Pravarakhyudu is a decent film to watch but may appeal only largely to the family audiences.
